Rose Furniture, one of the country's largest furniture retailers, opened its first store back in 1968 in Minnesota.
The Rose Furniture concept enjoyed tremendous success because it offered quality merchandise at very affordable prices, in addition to immediate availability.
Rose built on this success by expanding a few months later to Chicago, then in 1972 to Pittsburgh, followed by Southern California.
Then in 1996, Rose opened its sixth market: Portland, Oregon, with three new showrooms.
Today, Rose employs over 1800 people. Currently, 3 additional showrooms are under construction in Chicago, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Dallas/Ft. Worth.
In 1998, Rose pioneered a friendlier approach to furniture shopping: it's successful "Customer First" program. Customers are greeted at the door by a concierge and offered "I'm Just Looking" buttons. They can shop hassle-free and receive sales assistance only when they want it. To make the experience even more pleasurable, customers can stop by the Rose Cafe for a cup of complementary coffee.
This "Customer First" program also includes Rose popular "Peace of Mind" Guarantees - a 7-day risk-free return policy; a 30-day lowest price guarantee and an optional 5-year warranty.
Since availability is an important factor in furniture buying, Rose keeps its best-selling home furnishings in stock for immediate delivery.
Rose continues to offer a wide selection of moderately-priced home furnishings emphasizing today's style, fashion, quality and affordability.
Rose Furniture, headquartered in Palatine, Illinois, continues to be a significant force in the highly competitive home furnishings retail market.
The growth continued. In the mid-eighties, additional stores were opened in existing markets. In 1988, Rose entered the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex.
